The Commission Financial intelligence for Medicare agents

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 3, 2026

This policy explains what Commission Travel Media LLC (“The
Commission,” “we”) collects through commission.health and its
newsletter, and how we use it.

What we collect

  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address. Sign-ups
are handled by WordPress.com (Automattic) Subscriptions, which also
records whether you open emails and click links.
  • Submit Intel: your name and work email, plus
anything else you choose to provide: organization, carrier, markets,
dates, links, details and any file you attach. We also record whether
you asked for confidentiality, and the date and wording of the terms you
    accepted.
  • Usage data: our host, WordPress.com, its Jetpack
Stats service and Google Analytics 4 record pages viewed, referring
sites, approximate location, browser and device.
  • Spam protection: form submissions may be checked by
Akismet (Automattic). We briefly store a one-way hash of your IP address
for 60 seconds to limit repeat submissions.

We do not ask for, and do not want, information about Medicare
beneficiaries. See “Beneficiary information” below.

Cookies and similar
technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to measure visits and keep
the site secure. A check of the public site on October 3, 2026 found
these cookies:

  • **_ga** and **_ga_YF461LRZKN** (Google Analytics 4, first-party,
about 13 months): distinguish visitors and sessions so we can count
visits, pages viewed and traffic sources.

Jetpack Stats (WordPress.com) also records page views through
requests to stats.wp.com and pixel.wp.com. Signed-in WordPress.com users
may receive additional WordPress.com cookies. We found no advertising
cookies. Our web fonts are hosted on our own site, so loading a page
does not send your IP address to a font provider. We will update this
list if we add services.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can
opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.

How we use it

  • To send the weekly brief and alerts you signed up for.
  • To review, verify and report on submissions, and to contact you
    about them.
  • To understand which content is useful and to keep the site secure
    and free of spam.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers that run the site for us, named above, under their
    own privacy terms.
  • Where the law requires it, or where reasonably necessary to protect
    our rights or someone’s safety.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not give subscriber
lists to advertisers. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral
advertising. If our practices change, we will update this policy before
the change takes effect and offer any opt-outs the law requires.

Submissions and
confidentiality

If you request confidentiality, we will not intentionally identify
you without your consent, except when legally required or reasonably
necessary to protect our rights or another person’s safety. We cannot
guarantee anonymity against legal process, security incidents, or
identification from the circumstances of the information you submit.

Our form and ordinary email are not secure channels for highly
sensitive information. Files you attach are stored privately, are not
placed in a public media library, and can be opened only by our
editors.

Beneficiary information

Do not send us beneficiary names, Medicare numbers, dates of birth,
health information or any other information that identifies a client. If
we receive it, we delete the affected file or text within 2 business
days of discovering it, and we do not use it in our reporting.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom. We honor
opt-outs promptly, and always within 10 business days.
  • Ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing
marie@commission.health. Depending on where you live, you may have
additional rights under state law, and we will respond as that law
    requires.

Retention

  • Unpublished submissions and their files: deleted
    automatically 180 days after receipt.
  • Submissions and evidence that support published
    reporting:
kept for 3 years after publication, or longer if
    needed for a legal claim.
  • Beneficiary information received by mistake:
deleted within 2 business days of discovery.
  • Newsletter subscribers: kept while you are
subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address on a
suppression list, so we do not email you again.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including restricting submission files
to editors, but no system is completely secure.

Children

The site is for licensed insurance professionals and is not directed
to anyone under 18.

Changes

We will post any changes here and update the effective date.
