Saint Alphonsus Health Plan, run through THP Medicare, says it will not offer Medicare Advantage plans in 2027, and members' coverage ends Dec. 31, 2026. Members can join a new plan through Feb. 28, 2027, and have a guaranteed-issue right to buy a Medicare Supplement for 63 days after their coverage ends. September 2026 enrollment data shows about 21,800 members in its No Premium (H6910-001) and Cash Back (H6910-005) plans. Saint Alphonsus hospitals and doctors stay open; only the insurance plans end.
Your move
Pull your Saint Alphonsus Health Plan clients and place them by Dec. 31. For clients who want to keep Saint Alphonsus doctors, check which 2027 plans have Saint Alphonsus in network before you quote. St. Luke's new Advantage Rx plans are another option in seven Idaho counties. For clients who choose Original Medicare, write a guaranteed-issue Medicare Supplement by March 4, 2027.
