▼ Humana: Humana stops selling individual Medicare Advantage plans in Minnesota
Humana is ending all of its individual Medicare Advantage plans in Minnesota for 2027 and will cover the state only through employer and other group plans, a Humana spokesperson told MPR News. The Star Tribune puts the number of affected enrollees at about 9,500. Humana has not posted a statement on its own site.
Your move
Contact Humana individual MA clients in Minnesota before Dec. 7, and compare plans from UnitedHealthcare, Medica, HealthPartners and Blue Cross in their county. Confirm whether the move pays a new or a renewal commission. For clients in counties with no Medicare Advantage plan, such as Crow Wing, quote a guaranteed-issue Medigap plan plus a Part D plan.
